Scream Blue Murder claims the Group Three Phoenix Sprint Stakes

Avontuur’s exciting young sire Oratorio was represented by his 19th individual Group winner on Sunday.
His talented daughter Scream Blue Murder recorded the first Group race win of her career when she won the Gp3 Phoenix Sprint Stakes over 1200m at the Curragh.

The 4yo filly, whose beaten opponents included 2013 Group 1 Prix de’l Abbaye winner Maarek, has now won or placed in seven races with Scream Blue Murder’s previous victories including the Kilvington Fillies Stakes.

She is the 19th Group/Graded winner to represent her triple Group 1 winning sire Oratorio, whose first South African sired foal was born recently.
Oratorio’s runners have earned over $34 million throughout the world, and they include 40 stakes winners to date.
His top runners included champions Military Attack, Biz The Nurse, Banchee, Viztoria and Beethoven, while Oratorio’s top-class performers in South Africa included Gr2 winner Ottimo and classy filly Orator’s Daughter, winner of the Gr3 Acacia Handicap and Gr3 Jacaranda Handicap.

Champion Sire in Italy in 2012 and 2013, Oratorio will stand for a fee of R100 000 in 2014.
