Along Came Casey provided Avontuur’s world class young sire Oratorio with his 36th individual stakes winner, when the 4yo filly, making her seasonal debut, picked up the Listed Glencairn Stakes at Leopardstown on Thursday.

Along Came Casey, who was picking her third career victory, was second in the Gp3 Diamond Stakes (behind subsequent G1 Queen Anne Stakes hero Declaration of War) last year.

It could be a big weekend for Oratorio, as not is he represented by Viztoria in the Gp1 Coronation Stakes, but also has runners in the Chesham Stakes (Lone Warrior) and Duke of Edinburgh Handicap (Buckland).

Oratorio has had an exceptional year already with the likes of multiple G1 winners Military Attack and Biz The Nurse. He is currently leading the sires list in both Italy and Singapore – a remarkable achievement!

To date, Oratorio’s offspring have earned over $23 000 000 with his runners excelling throughout the world.

The triple G1 winner, and multiple champion, is fully booked for his first South African season and is set to cover some magnificent broodmares.
