Amongst the well bred youngsters frolicking at the Kosters’ farm is this lovely Dynasty filly.

Out of the four time winning Restructure mare Champers, this beautifully bred filly is a full sister to Legislate himself.

Also named South Africa’s Equus Champion 3yo Colt of 2014 and Champion Middle Distance Horse, Legislate won all of the Gr1 Investec Cape Derby, Gr2 KRA Guineas, Gr1 Daily News 2000 before ending his campaign with a win in the country’s most famous race – the Gr1 Vodacom Durban July.

To date, Legislate has earned over R4.5 million in prize money and already rates an intriguing future stud prospect.

Captain Al - Spring Lilac

Captain Al – Spring Lilac

Cheveley Stud’s outstanding broodmare Mystic Spring, whose daughters are also now proving top class at stud, is due to leading sire Var.
The daughter of Royal Academy will visit Captain Al this season – with South Africa’s dominant 2yo sire proving a great fit with the family.

When mated with Captain Al, Mystic Springs’ stakes winning daughters Secret Of Victoria (Gr2 Sceptre Stakes) and Spring Lilac (Gr2 Kenilworth Fillies Nursery) have produced champion filly All Is Secret and the very smart sprinter Victorian Secret respectively.

Secret Of Victoria is also the dam of the highly promising Captain Al colt Secret Command, a highly rated sort who is now campaigning in Hong Kong.

A truly superb broodmare, Mystic Springs is the dam of five stakes winners to date, including ill-fated Equus Champion Rabiya.
