Breeders Cup 1-2 finish for World relatives

Breeders Cup 1-2 finish for World relatives
Mauritzfontein Stud’s blue blooded stallion, Ideal World, is related to the first two home in Saturday’s Gr1 Breeders Cup Filly And Mare Turf.
Dank and Romantica fought out the finish to this 2400m contest, with the former prevailing in the $2 000 000 contest.

Dank is a daughter of champion sire Dansili (who is a full brother to Banks Hill, dam of Ideal World). Currently the sire of 86 stakes winners to date, Dansili has been represented by no fewer than six Grade/Group One winners in 2013. He was champion sire in France in 2006.

Runner up Romantica (by Galileo) is out of Banks Hill herself, making her a half-sister to Ideal World!

Romantica, winner of the Group One Prix Jean Romanet earlier in the year, has strong claims to being one of the best bred fillies in the world. By the world’s premier sire (and sire of recent Breeders Cup Turf hero Magician), Romantica is out of the champion, and former Breeders Cup winner, Banks Hill. She has won or placed in seven outings, and is a mouth watering broodmare prospect.

Banks Hill herself is one of five Grade One winners produced by the legendary mare Hasili.

Hasili’s stakes winning grandson, Ideal World (by Kingmambo), whose first crop race this year, stands for a 2013 fee of R50 000.
