Klawervlei’s exciting new sire Captain Of All has been given a high rating by Longines in their latest rankings of the world’s top thoroughbred performers.

Captain Of All, the Equus Champion Sprinter of 2014-2015, has been given a Longines rating of 121, which means he is currently the world’s joint second top rated sprinter. Australian Horse Of The Year Lankan Rupee is currently the sole sprinter rated higher than Captain Of All with a 123 rating.

The Riverton Stud bred champion thus ranks equal to star Australian sprinter Brazen Beau (Coolmore Stud Stakes, Newmarket Handicap), and superior to triple G1 winner Muhaarar (Commonwealth Cup, July Cup, Prix Maurice de Gheest) and top US speedball Undrafted (Diamond Jubilee Stakes).

The latter pair have both been given ratings of 120.
Captain Of All also shares his rating of 121 with such outstanding international G1 winners as California Chrome (Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes), Cirrus Des Aigles (seven time G1 winner), Dolniya (Dubai Sheema Classic), Postponed (King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes), and Prince Bishop (Dubai World Cup).

A son of champion sire Captain Al- and the latter’s first G1 winning son to retire to stud-Captain Of All (named Horse Of The Year at the recent Cape Breeders Awards) won or placed in 11 of his starts, with his three G1 wins including a four and a half length romp in the Mercury Sprint, where his beaten opponents include such stars as Carry On Alice and Legislate.
