Newly crowned champion sire Trippi has made a tremendous start to the new 2016-2017 racing season.
The son of End Sweep had yet another double when his sons Elevenses and Trip To Paradise won their respective races at the Vaal on Thursday.
Remarkably, they provided their sire with a 66% strike rate –with two of Trippi’s three runners on the day all scoring.
The blue blooded Elevenses broke his maiden in facile style when winning by nearly three and a half lengths over 1700m, while the latter’s paternal half brother Trip To Paradise made it career win number three when successful over 1400m.
Trippi enjoyed a magnificent season during 2015-2016, with his major winners including the G1 winners Inara and Real Princess, as well as CTS Million Dollar hero Illuminator.
Both Inara and Real Princess were honoured at the recent Cape Awards –with Inara being named Cape Racing’s Horse Of The Year, and Real Princess Cape Sprinter Of The Year.
