Double for Main Aim

Highlands Farm’s beautifully bred and well performed young sire Main Aim (who currently stands at the Southford Stud) enjoyed his first double as a sire on Friday.
Main Aim had only two runners at Fairview on Friday –but both won, giving their G1 July Cup runner up sire a 100% rate on the day.

Main Aim’s first winner on the day came in the form of the Gavin Smith trained Madiba Dance, who broke her maiden in smart fashion when romping home by three and a half lengths over 1200m.
Bred by Mauritzfontein/Wilgerbosdrift, the gelding is out of the National Emblem mare Sovereign Beat.

With Madiba Dance successful in Friday’s second race, another of Main Aim’s progeny took home the spoils in the third. This time it was the Alan Greeff trained filly Another Night to score. Stepping up in trip to 1400m, the Mauritzfontein/Wilgerbosdrift bred sophomore showed tremendous heart to win by half a length.

Main Aim, a son of champion sprinter and outstanding sire Oasis Dream (also sire of sensational young Cape sire Querari), has now been represented by nine first crop runners who have either won or finished in the money.
His top performer to date is recent Listed Breeders Fillies Mile winner Golden Mystery.

Dual winner of the G3 John Of Gaunt Stakes, Main Aim is one of over 100 stakes winners for Oasis Dream, whose other notable progeny include champion sprinter Muhaarar and current sire sensations Power and Showcasing.
