Mauritzfontein Stud’s promising sire Ideal World had a pair of good winners at the Vaal on Thursday.
Kingmambo’s blue blooded son’s sons won the last two races on the nine race card, with the Ideal World double including a smart debut winner.
The Mauritzfontein Stud bred Frappachino (who has a Judpot half sister on offer at the National Sale in two weeks time) provided Ideal World with his first winner on the card, when the 3yo gelding broke his maiden over 2000m for trainer Roy Magner.
The sire’s second win came when Noah’s Ark made a smart winning debut over 1400m. Bred by Wilgerbosdrift, Noah’s Ark ran on nicely to score by just under a length, having been backed down from 7-1 into 5-2.
The gelding races for the Hyperpaint Syndicate and Noah’s Ark looks sure to provide his connections with plenty more good days racing!
Ideal World, whose close relative Dansili is the sire of Wednesday’s G3 Earl Of Sefton Stakes winner Mahsoob, has enjoyed a tremendous season in 2015-2016, with his star daughter Smart Call being his stand out performer thus far.
The 4yo filly’s three graded wins this season include the G1 Maine Chance Farms Paddock Stakes and G1 J&B Met and she will now bid to take place in this year’s Breeders’ Cup championship races at Santa Anita Park.
Smart Call’s sire has nine lots on offer at the upcoming National Yearling Sale including a colt out of Jet Master’s G3 winner Halfway To Heaven (Lot 122), a half sister to Equus Champion and July winner Heavy Metal (Lot 253) and a colt out of G3 Magnolia Handicap heroine Run Angel Run (Lot 302).
