Drakenstein Stud fees announced for 2016

Drakenstein Stud have unveiled stud fees for their stallion roster of 2016. Their outstanding sire Trippi, who is currently is South Africa’s leading sire by stakes, will stand for a fee of R250 000 this season.
The son of End Sweep, whose offspring have earned over $50 000 000 in stakes, has enjoyed a magnificent season thus far, with his offspring having won 14 black type races.

Cartier Champion Duke Of Marmalade, whose 2016 winners include Oaks fancy Responsibleforlove and royal winner Daphne, will sport a fee of R100 000, while Philanthropist, currently one of South Africa’s Leading First Crop Stallions, will cover for a fee of R50 000.

Triple Equus Champion What A Winter, whose first crop yearlings have proved immensely popular in 2016, will stand for a stud fee of R20 000 in 2016, as will former Horse Of The Year winners Futura and Legislate. The latter, both sons of outstanding sire Dynasty, will stand their first seasons at stud in 2016.
Galileo’s G1 Racing Post Trophy winner Kingsbarns, who is from one of the best families in the stud book, has been priced up at R15 000 –and his first South African foals are set to arrive this year.
