The great run of success that Dynasty daughters have enjoyed of late continued at Kenilworth on Saturday, when the Dynasty sired Just Sensual lifed the G3 Vasco Taverna Prix Du Cap over 1400m. The Prix Du Cap was a doubly good race for former Horse Of The Year Dynasty- also sire of the fast finishing fourth place finisher, and multiple stakes winner, A Time To Dream.
Bred by Klawervlei, the victorious Just Sensual made it win number four, from just six outings, when running out a comfortable 0.4 of a length winner of the R250 000 contest.
In the process, the filly took her earnings to over R880 000 with Just Sensual likely to aim for more feature race glory in KZN later in the season.
Winner of the G1 World Sports Betting Cape Fillies Guineas earlier this season, Just Sensual was a R2 000 000 buy from the 2015 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
She is one of 19 G1 horses sired by former Horse Of The Year Dynasty, also responsible for Equus Champion fillies Beach Beauty and Bela-Bela. Other notable fillies sired by Dynasty include former Fillies Guineas winner Alexis, G2 winner Demanding Lady (dam of the R6 000 000 yearling Charles), and G1 Garden Province Stakes runner up Olma.
Dynasty has a very strong crop of 3yos this season, which not only include Just Sensual, but also G3 Politician Stakes winner Horizon (also likely be aimed at G1 races in KZN this season), G3 Fillies Mile winner Smiling Blue Eyes (a runner in Saturday’s G2 Wilgerbosdrift Gauteng Fillies Guineas), and ill-fated feature race winner Miss Minver.
The champion proved very popular at the recent Cape Premier Yearling Sale, where Dynasty yearlings made up to R5.75 million and averaged an impressive R1 645 454.
His triple G1 winning son Jackson has also already made a splash with his first yearlings selling up to R2 000 000 at the 2017 Cape Premier Sale.
