Feature race double for Dynasty

Highlands Farm’s outstanding sire Dynasty enjoyed a weekend to remember when a pair of his daughters won feature races in two different centres.
First Dynasty daughter to prevail in a feature this weekend, was the Highlands Farm bred Smiling Blue Eyes won picked up the first feature race win of her career when landing the G3 Fillies Mile at Turffontein on Sansui Summer Cup day last Saturday.

Trained by Sean Tarry and owned by Al Adaayit South Africa, Smiling Blue Eyes (one of two graded winners on Saturday for Highlands) made it two wins from just four outings when holding off stable mate Tambalang to win the R275 000 Fillies Mile by a length.

Classically bred, Smiling Blue Eyes (who is out of the Badger Land mare Sage Blue) was a R650 000 purchase from the 2015 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.

Just one day later, another promising 3yo daughter of Dynasty was in the winners box after a feature race win.
This time it was the regally bred Miss Minver to score, with that Dean Kannemeyer trained filly landing Sunday’s Beekman Management Services KZN Series Fillies 1600 (Non black type).
Miss Minver, who made it three in a row with Sunday’s one length score, has now won four of seven races and looks to have a bright future ahead of her.
