A daughter of leading Var, Valdivia won her first three races on the bounce including the Gr3 Strelitzia Stakes and this colt is her first foal.

He is certainly a fine advertisement for his sire Duke Of Marmalade, who currently heads the German Sires Log.

A five time Group One winning champion, Duke Of Marmalade has enjoyed a magnificent season in 2015, with his progeny winning such important pattern races as the G1 Prix de Diane (French Oaks), G1 Deutsches Derby (German Derby), G2 Goodwood Cup, G2 Princess of Wales’s Stakes, G3 Tattersalls Musidora Stakes, G3 Lillie Langtry Stakes and G3 Premio Regina Elena (Italian 1000 Guineas).

A half brother to G1 Investec Derby winner and promising young Coolmore sire Ruler Of The World, Duke Of Marmalade covered an exceptional first book of mares during his first South African season last year, where his mates included multiple Equus Champion Beach Beauty.
