First winner for Oracy
Klawervlei Stud’s well performed young stallion Oracy was represented by his first winner when 2yo daughter Language Of Love scored by three parts of a length over 1000m on Monday afternoon.
Bred and owned by Eclipse Racing & Breeding CC, Language of Love was produced by the Australian bred Xaar mare, Eros.
Oracy was a top-class racehorse, who won seven of his 11 outings, and earned over R1 000 000 in prize money.
The colt won his first five races in a row – with his victories including the Gr2 Dingaans and Gr2 Gauteng Guineas.
Oracy would later add a win in the Gr3 London News Stakes, to his tally of feature race wins.
Like successful sires Savabeel, Reset and Greys Inn, Oracy is a son of multiple champion sire Zabeel.
Sire of over 140 stakes winners, Zabeel’s lengthy list of champions includes Octagonal (sire of champion sire Lonhro), Might And Power, Efficient, Vengeance of Rain, Greys Inn, and Jezabeel.
Oracy, who shares his broodmare sire Dehere with top US sire Midnight Lute, is from an outstanding female line.
He is out of the top-class Gr2 winner Lady Dehere – herself a half-sister to the top-class filly Sea Siren.
The latter, a daughter of Fastnet Rock, won three G1 races, and earned over GBP 1 000 000 in prize money.
Oracy himself is a direct descendant of the great mare, and 1000 Guineas winner, Cinna, whose offspring include the leading sires Beau Pere and Balloch.
