Five for Judpot!

Five for Judpot!
Varsfontein Stud’s exciting young sire Judpot had his fifth debut winner from his first crop of juveniles when Its Freezing, bred by Varsfontein, made a winning debut at Fairview on Friday.

Remarkably all five of Judpot’s first crop winners won at the first time of asking. This is a remarkable achievement. His previous winners include Juddering Angel, Colour of Courage and Forest Indigo. The latter has been entered in the R1 000 000, Gr1 SA Nursery, which will be run on April 26th.

A son of champion sire A P Indy, the unraced Judpot is a half-brother to world leading sire Kingmambo. His dam is the US Hall of Fame champion Miesque, a daughter of the breed shaping stallion, Nureyev.

His first yearlings sold up to R800 000, and Judpot is well represented on the 2013 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale. His draft for the National Sale include a half-brother to star 3yo War Horse, a half-sister to G1 winner Master Plan and a colt out of G1 Allan Robertson Championship winner Silver Arc.

Judpot stands at Varsfontein Stud for a stud fee of R20,000.
