Gimmethegreenlight filly remains unbeaten

Varsfontein Stud’s exciting young sire Gimmethegreenlight has already made a considerable splash with his first 3yos, and he looks to have another smart prospect on his hands in the form of Beataboutthebush.
The latter, who was bred by Varsfontein Stud, took her tally to two wins from as many outings when winning over 1200m for trainer Alan Greeff at Fairview on Monday.

Beataboutthebush, a half sister to former G3 East Cape Derby winner True Master, was a R300 000 buy from the 2015 National Two Year Old Sale.

Her sire Gimmethegreenlight (whose sire More Than Ready is also responsible for leading sire Sebring and promising young sire Pluck –sire of recent G3 winner Aspect) was South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire last season when his runners included G1 Premier’s Champion Stakes winner Gunner and G2 Umkhomazi Stakes hero Hack Green.

Gimmethegreenlight is also the sire of impressive recent Listed Gardenia Stakes winner Green Pepper, who has won three of her four outings to date and Bloodstock SA Million Mile winner Legend.
