Stallion manager, John Freeman, has reported that Highlands two new stallions, Jackson and Potala Palace, have both passed fertility tests.

Both of their test mares conceived on their first cover in what is a pleasing start to their stud careers.

freeman_potala01_2Multiple Grade 1 winner Jackson is set to cover a fine book of mares in his first season, with his first mates including Gr1 Allan Robertson Fillies Championship winner Geepee S.
Like his great sire Dynasty, Jackson won both the Gr1 Cape Derby and Gr1 Daily News 2000.

Jackson, who is from the famous No Class family responsible for outstanding US sire Smart Strike, has a first year stud fee of R15 000.

Potala Palace, like Jackson, traces back in male line to the mighty champion sire Sadler’s Wells – sire of champion sires Galileo, Montjeu and El Prado.
A Grade One winner at two, the handsome Potala Palace hails from an outstanding female line – responsible for the great sires Sadler’s Wells, Nureyev and Fairy King.

Potala Palace, a son of world leading sire Singspiel, stands his first season at stud for a fee of R10 000.
