HOT YOUNG SIRE STRIKES AGAIN
Highlands Farm’s Antonius Pius maintained his remarkable record with his first locally conceived crop when My Sanctuary made a facile winning debut at Scottsville on Tuesday afternoon.
Antonius Pius has now had four starters for three winners from his first SA born crop of 2yos. His three winners have all scored on debut – which bodes well for their subsequent racing careers.
This is a very impressive start for this well bred son of Danzig, who was second in the Breeders Cup Mile and who received a Timeform Rating of 123.
Out of the unbeaten G1 winner Catchascatchcan, Antonius Pius stands at Highlands for a stud fee of R15,000.
He has just one lot on sale at the 2012 Cape Premier Yearling Sale:
Lot 21 – is a half-brother to the G3 winner Promises to Keep. From the famous Drohsky family, this colt is from the family of G1 winners Sea Mist and Evening Mist
