Mauritzfontein Stud’s young sire Ideal World hails from one of the best families in the stud book, and his already impressive female page received yet another update following the running of the Group 3 Betfred Goals Galore Autumn Stakes at Newmarket recently.

The Group 3 race (won previously by such Group 1 standouts as Nashwan, Nayef, Kingston Hill and Trading Leather) was won by the Zamindar colt Commemorative.
A winner of two of his three starts to date, Commemorative was described as likely classic contender for 2015 by his trainer Charlie Hills.

The colt could be supplemented for a crack at the Racing Post Trophy, a race won in 2013 by Autumn Stakes hero Kingston Hill.

Commemorative is out of Revered, an Oasis Dream half sister TO Group1 Matron Stakes heroine Promising Lead and a full sister to Visit, third in the Gr1 Breeders Cup F& M Turf.

His third dam is Kerali – herself the dam of legendary Juddmonte broodmare Hasili, dam of five Grade 1 winners and dam of Champion Sire Dansili.

One of Hasili’s daughters, Champion US Turf Female Banks Hill, is the dam of Ideal World, a stakes winning son of Kingmambo currently standing at Mauritzfontein Stud.

Ideal World, whose first crop are now three, has a number of promising sophomores to his string, including the Grade 1 performer Amazing Strike, highly rated debut winner Kingmambo’s Legacy and feature race nominated filly Smart Call.

He has also been a hit in the sales ring, with Ideal World leading the sires list, by aggregate, at the 2014 Suncoast KZN Yearling Sale.
