Impressive 2yo winner for Querari

Maine Chance Farms’ exciting resident sire Querari had a smart looking debut winner at Fairview on Friday afternoon.
His son Pinnacle Peak made an eye catching winning debut, when downing a field of winners, when running on strongly to score first out over 1000m.

Bred by the Narrow Creek Stud (also breeders of Querari’s smart 2yo Procal Harum), the Dorrie Sham trained Pinnacle Peak is bred on the same Querari/Count Dubois cross as G1 Thekwini Stakes runner up Melliflora.

He is the fourth juvenile winner this season for Querari, whose 2yo daughter Made In Hollywood is a leading contender for Sunday’s G3 Strelitzia Stakes at Scottsville.

Querari is also responsible for recent 4.75 length juvenile winner and G1 SA Nursery entrant Wonderwall.

A G1 winning son of champion sprinter and outstanding sire Oasis Dream, Querari shares his broodmare sire Acatenango with one of the world’s most exciting young sires –Animal Kingdom.
He has 12 lots on next week’s National Yearling Sale including a full-sister to G1 Thekwini Stakes winner Querari Falcon (Lot 107), a half-sister to this season’s G3 filly Tambalang (Lot 150), a filly out of a full-sister to champion and G1 sire Victory Moon (Lot 223) and a half-brother to G3 winning 2yo Elegant Blush (Lot 378).
