Impressive debut winner for Ideal World
Mauritzfontein Stud’s promising young stallion Ideal World was represented by another impressive first crop winner on Wednesday.
His well bred 2yo son Kingmambo’s Legacy made a smart debut when romping home to win by four lengths, to score over 1200mat Scottsville first time out. Judging by this win, Kingmambo’s Legacy looks a colt well above average, and he looks to have a bright future ahead of him.
Bred by the Balmoral Stud, Kingmambo’s Legacy was a R250 000 purchase at the 2013 Emperors Palace Ready to Run Sale.
The colt was produced by former Gr2 SA Oaks winner Logetta, and is owned by Messrs De Kock, Gerber and Livanos.
Ideal World has now been represented by four first crop winners, including Saturday’s facile winner Amazing Strike.
A son of Kingmambo (whose sire sons also include leading sires King Kamehameha, King’s Best, Lemon Drop Kid and the promising Thewayyouare and Archipenko), Ideal World was a stakes winner of four races.
He is a half-brother to Gr1 winner, and Breeders Cup runner, Romantica – with the pair being produced from champion racemare Banks Hill.
This is the family of world leading sire Dansili, as well as US champion Leroidesanimaux – sire of Kentucky Derby/Dubai World Cup winner, Animal Kingdom.
