Drakenstein Stud’s champion sire Trippi had an impressive juvenile winner at Scottsville on Saturday.
His blue blooded son On That Boulevard, bred by Klawervleii Stud, made a sparkling debut to win as he liked in open company.
On That Boulevard, backed into 22-10 favouritism, simply outclassed his 11 rivals to win as he liked by two and a half lengths, easily accounting for the well bred first timer Lucius Fox by two and a half lengths going away.
The colt, a fourth juvenile winner for his sire this season, was a R900 000 buy from last year’s Emperors Palace Select Yearling Sale.
Trippi will also be well represented at Scottsville big sprint day this Saturday, with his Victory Trip lining up in the G1 Allan Robertson Fillies Championship, and daughters Real Princess (winner of the race 12 months ago) and Live Life leading contenders for the G1 SA Fillies Sprint on the same day.
The champion son of End Sweep has been represented by five black type winners this year, including the graded winners Gold Standard, Live Life, Trip To Heaven and recent G1 Premier’s Champions Challenge winner Deo Juvente.
To date, Trippi has been represented by 67 stakes winners, with his runners having amassed more than $57 million in prize money.
