Highlands Farm’s red hot sire Dynasty had a smart looking two-year-old winner at Kenilworth on Saturday in the form of the Klawervlei Stud bred Barrack Street.
From the yard of champion trainer Sean Tarry, the regally bred colt, a R500 000 buy from the recent CTS Ready To Run Sale Presented by Lanzerac Hotel & Spa, showed plenty of pace to record a one and a quarter length win in the 800m dash.
Barrack Street, a half-brother to former Equus Champion Jay Peg among others, will now be aimed at one of the CTS sponsored R1 000 000 races on Sun Met day in January.
His sire Dynasty has been enjoying another tremendous run of success of late, with his recent notable winners including G1 World Sports Betting Cape Fillies Guineas winner Just Sensual and G3 Fillies Mile heroine Smiling Blue Eyes.
The former Horse Of The Year has an 11 strong draft on offer at January’s Cape Premier Yearling Sale. Dynasty’s CPYS draft includes a full brother to Horse Of The Year and new Drakenstein Stud sire Futura (Lot 181), a colt out of G1 winner Viva Maria (Lot 220), and a half sister to G1 winner and sire Potala Palace (Lot 228).
