Impressive Oratorio colt for Rain sister

Impressive Oratorio colt for Rain sisterOratorio - Rose Garden
Avontuur’s world leading sire Oratorio has some really eye catching foals in his first South African crop this year.

Among them is this handsome bay colt, bred by Golden Touch Thoroughbred Services, whose pedigree is as impressive as his fine physique.
The colt is the first foal of the winning Spectrum mare Rose Garden – a half-sister to Equus Champion and exciting new sire Soft Falling Rain.

Like Oratorio a direct male line descendant of the great sire Danzig, Soft Falling Rain was an outstanding racehorse, who won major races in three different countries.
South Africa’s Equus Champion 2YO Colt in 2010, following an unbeaten campaign which culminated in a facile victory in the Gr1 SA Nursery, Soft Falling Rain was then exported to Dubai.
The son of National Assembly won his first three starts culminating in an historic win in the Gr2 Godolphin Mile. Soft Falling Rain would later enjoy a successful British campaign, which saw him score an emphatic three and a half length win in the Group 2 Nayef Joel Stakes at Newmarket.

Bred by Highlands Farm, Soft Falling Rain, who ran second earlier this year to Variety Club in the Gr2 Godolphin Mile, ended his career having won more than R12.5 million in prize money.

Rose Garden, whose sire Spectrum is the broodmare sire of leading European sire Dutch Art, is also a half-sister to impressive debut winners My Nephew Eric and Splendid Gardens.

This is the top-class US family responsible for Kentucky Oaks winner Gal In A Ruckus, as well as the Breeders Cup Marathon hero Eldaafer, to name but two, while further back this is also the family of the great Canadian mare No Class –ancestor of exciting young South African sires Jackson and Sail From Seattle.
