Impressive stats for Ashaawes
Sandown Stud’s beautifully bred and promising young stallion Ashaawes has some top-class statistics with his first crop of 3yos.
From a small crop of foals (which number just 27 runners), Ashaawes is represented by five black type performers.

This means nearly 20% of Ashaawes’ first three-year-olds are capable of competing successfully in stakes race company. These statistics put Ashaawes above outstanding sires Silvano, Jet Master, and Captain Al in terms of siring stakes performers to runners.

Ashaawes, whose first crop includes the now Dubai based Sanshaawes, also has some smart performers. They include the stakes filly Sioux Shee and feature race contender Catchphrase.

The son of Kingmambo proved popular in the sales ring during the 2012-2013 season. His yearlings fetched up to R240 000 – off a stud fee of R12 000.

A smart racehorse, Ashaawes is from an outstanding North American family, which has rarely been out of the news in recent times.
His dam is by Seattle Slew – who is also the broodmare sire of leading sires Lemon Drop Kid (by Kingmambo), Stormy Atlantic and Mutakddim.
There are no fewer than 31 stakes winners in Ashaawes’ first three dams – including the Grade One winners/champions Excellent Meeting, Early Pioneer and Hooray.

Ashaawes is a talented young stallion with an increasingly impressive stud record to equal his blue blooded pedigree. He stands at the Sandown Stud in 2013 for a fee of R12 000.
