This increasingly important auction, described as a fun, informal sale with huge value, has a reputation of uncovering future stars at tremendous value, and a number of top class athletes have been sold off this sale in past years.
Among the past graduates of the Klawervlei Farm Sale in recent times are the record breaking G1 winner Captain Of All, Guineas winner Door Of Deception, and other such notable winners as In Limine, and this season’s classy two-year-olds Galaxy King, Rebel’s Idol and Waity Katie.
The brilliant Captain Of All has been a tremendous advert for the farm sale, with the record breaking son of Captain Al having won or placed in five graded races and has earnings of over R1 million prospect.

His victories include an exciting score in the G1 Tsogo Sun Medallion, over fellow G1 winner Willow Magic, as well as a gutsy victory in this season’s G2 Khaya Stables Diadem Stakes, where Captain Of All accounted for the G1 winning sprinters Copper Parade and Fly By Night.
This year’s catalogue will offer yearlings by such leading stallions as Black Minnaloushe, Captain Al, Count Dubois, Dynasty, Jay Peg, Philanthropist, Seventh Rock, Silvano, and Trippi.
