The Sale forms part of the three day Klawervlei Farm Sale Festival weekend, which sees the inaugural CTS Select Mare Sale take place on the Friday at Highlands Farm , just before the Cape Breeders’ host their annual stallion auction. Services to some of the top sires in the Western Cape will be go under the hammer making this an event of great interest to all breeders and would-be buyers.

The inaugural Kuda Golf Day is set to take place on the Saturday following the mare sale. The Golf Day will be followed by prize giving at the Golf Club and then big screen Rugby and live entertainment, courtesy of Patrick Canovi, which will take place at Klawervlei.

Sunday following the Golf Day will see the annual Farm Sale commence at Klawervlei at 14:00pm, after a morning set aside for buyers and guests to view the well bred yearlings on offer.

This festival, which celebrates the Klawervlei Farm Sale, will be held from June 10th to June 12th and is a must attend for any serious buyer of South African thoroughbreds.

Among the past graduates of the still young Klawervlei Farm Sale are Equus Champion and Klawervlei sire Captain Of All, the top class multiple stakes winner Door Of Deception, talented fillies Neala and Waity Katie, and the useful Profit Ratio. With a number of well related juveniles still waiting in the wings, it seems likely this list will grow considerably over the coming months!

Among the top sires represented are Captain Al, Count Dubois, Dynasty, Jay Peg, Querari, Seventh Rock, Silvano, Trippi and Var, while exciting young stallions with their first South African yearlings on sale include champions Marchfield, Twice Over and What A Winter.

There is also a colt on offer by Fastnet Rock’s Australian based G1 winning son Foxwedge – who currently rates as one of the leading first crop sires in Australia.
