Langerman winner for sensational first crop sire
Highlands Farm’s exciting young sire Antonius Pius has made a superb start to his stud career. South Africa’s leading first crop was represented by the third stakes winner from his first local crop of 2yos, when Antonius Du Bois won Saturday’s Gr3 Langerman, worth R150 000, at Kenilworth.

Antonius Pius, who is also third on the leading sires of juveniles list, has been represented by four black type performers in his first crop. They are headed by Antonius Du Bois and My Sanctuary, winner of the Gr2 The Debutante.

He is also sire of the top-class filly Yoshie, a winner of four of her five starts to date, including the Listed Dahlia Plate.

To date, Antonius Pius’ first crop have won 14 races and over R900 000 in prize money.
