The 2013 Cape Premier Yearling Sale sees youngsters of the final crop of the great Jet Master come under the hammer.
The late great South African bred stallion has thoroughly dominated both the general sires list and the commercial arena in South Africa in recent years.

Jet Master has topped the sires list for the last six years in a row, and is again currently heading the general log. His progeny include champions Pocket Power, River Jetez, J J The Jet Plane, Mythical Flight and Ebony Flyer, whilst he has a number of very promising 3yos in training this season such as Chave De Ouro, Jet Aglow, Alexandra Palace, Electric Jet and Butterfly Girl.
Remarkably, the progeny of Jet Master won the Cape’s premier race, the J&B Met, from
2007-2011, thanks to Pocket Power, River Jetez and Past Master.

Sire of over 100 black type performers, Jet Master sired three of the top four lots at the 2012 Cape Premier Yearling Sale. At last year’s sale, no fewer than three Jet Master yearlings fetched R2 000 000 – and Jet Master was responsible for both the top priced colt and top priced filly.

Jet Master has 8 lots on sale this week:

Lot 2 – a colt out of the G1 winner Nania – whose half-sister, Adobe Pink, won last Saturday’s Listed Graham Beck Sun Classique Handicap. This is the family of G1 winners Set Afire, Rudra and champion Royal Chalice.

Lot 130 – is a colt, whose dam is an own sister to the stakes winner Cousin John, who ran third in the G1 J&B Met. This is the family of G1 winners Rebel King and Lyrical Linda. The colt on offer is also very closely related to the promising Lockheed Jetstar.

Lot 197 –is a colt out of the wonderful racemare, La Deportista – a G2 winner of six. This colt is a half-brother to the fine performer Juan Pablo, a stakes winner of 13 races. This is also the family of such notable performers as Black Rod, Blushing Dove and promising young sire Lion Tamer.

Lot 216 – is an own brother to the top-class prospect Lockheed Jetstar. This colt is out of Lyrical Linda – winner of the G1 Garden Province Stakes. This is the family of Klawervlei’s exciting young sire, Rebel King.
