Mambo In Seattle well represented in KZN features

Moutonshoek’s exciting young sire Mambo In Seattle looks to be well represented in next Saturday’s feature races at Greyville.
The former G1 Travers Stakes runner up’s son Ryder lines up in the G1 Premier’s Champion Stakes, where he will be bidding to continue the good run of success that Mambo In Seattle’s two-year-olds have enjoyed this season (at the time of writing Mambo In Seattle has been represented by six juvenile winners including the smart stakes filly Extradite).

Another Mambo In Seattle son set to run in a feature next weekend is former G3 Caradoc Gold Cup hero Fortune Fella, who is set to take his place in the G2 eLan Property Group Gold Cup, while yet another of the sire’s progeny bound for the Gold Cup is recent G3 SABC Gold Vase runner up Smart Mart. Remarkably, Mambo will have yet another pair of runners in a major feature –his top class sons Mambo Mime and Saratoga Dancer are both contenders in Saturday week’s G1 Mike and Carol Bass Champions Cup.

Mambo In Seattle, whose sensational first crop includes dual G1 winner Same Jurisdiction, G3 winner Fortune Fella and the above mentioned Saratoga Dancer, is well represented at both the August Two-Year-Old Sale and the National Two Year Old Sale.

His three lots on offer at the August Sale include a filly from the same family as Kentucky Derby winner Go For Gin (Lot 2), and a filly from the family of English/Irish classic winners Kahyasi, Kastoria and Milan (Lot 4).

Mambo also has nine juveniles on offer at the National Two Year Old Sale, including a half brother to G3 Cape Classic hero Eighth Wonder (Lot 9), a half brother to G2 Merchants winner Triptique (Lot 99), and a colt whose three time winning dam is an own sister to dual G3 winner Sunsational (herself the dam of current 3yo filly star Juxtapose).
