While still a young sale, graduates of the March Sale include a number of top class performers including former Equus Champion 2YO Colt Seventh Plain –himself a R400 000 buy at the 2014 sale. At the same sale, subsequent G1 Thekwini Stakes heroine Lauderdale was knocked down for a mere R40 000 -highlighting this sales’ place in the calendar as one of the country’s best value for money auctions.

Last year, a Trippi colt, bred by Dr Ian Heynes, topped the sale when fetching R1.3 million, while the sales’ top priced filly was a Captain Al filly, who was knocked down to Hassen Adams for R400 000.
