More group glory for Querari family

Maine Chance Farms’ exciting young sire Querari received yet another black type boost when talented four-year-old Quarterback lifted the G3 Stockholm Cup International in Sweden on Sunday.

Quarterback (by American Post) had previously won the G3 Chess Racing Scandinavian Open Championship as well as the Listed Scandic Norsk Derby last year.

Quarterback is out of the G3 placed Surumu mare Quebra –a half sister to the stakes winning Quetena (Acatenango), the dam of German Champion and G1 winner Querari as well as G3 Bavarian Classic winner Quasillo (Sea The Stars).

Querari has made an excellent start to his stud career in South Africa, with his first crop including the graded winners Cosmic Light and Kangaroo Jack, and his second (now three) having produced G1 Thekwini Stakes winner Querari Falcon.
