More success for Ideal World

More success for Ideal World
Mauritzfontein Stud’s promising young sire Ideal World, whose first crop are now 2, was represented by the second winner from his initial crop of runners on Saturday.

The Ormond Ferraris trained filly Looker strolled home to win as she liked at Turffontein over 1600m to become her sire’s second winner (Super Glue was the first).
The 2yo miss beat another Ideal World filly, Peep Show, into second place in the process. Peep Show, who was making just the second start of her career, looks sure to win in the not too distant future.

Bred  and owned by Mauritzfontein, Looker is out of the four time winning Fort Wood mare Lady Brooke. Saturday’s winner is a half-sister to the useful performer Brooks-Club, runner up in the 2011 Gr2 Gauteng Guineas.

Looker’s sire Ideal World has now been represented by five horses who have either won or finished in the money and he looks a young sire of definite promise.

A stakes winning son of French 2000 Guineas winner and world leading sire Kingmambo, Ideal World is out of Breeders Cup winner and Champion, Banks Hill. The latter is a full-sister to world leading sire Dansili, sire of 2014 QIPCO 1000 Guineas winner, Miss France.
