More success for July winner!

When Bon Bon scored an impressive maiden victory at Durbanville on Tuesday, she continued the good start made by her sire Bold Silvano.
To date, the latter, who stands at Ascot Stud, has been represented by 18 first crop runners who have either won or finished in the money, and this statistic looks sure to improve further with time.

Bred by the Riyo Stud, Bon Bon impressed on Tuesday, with the lightly raced filly having previously finished third on her only other outing and this Glen Kotzen trained filly looks to have a bright future ahead of her.
Another of Bold Silvano’s offspring to score recently was the Mike de Kock trained Bold Rex. Rated a potential feature race contender by connections, the gelding picked up the third win of his young career when scoring over 1600m at the Vaal.

Other impressive first crop runners for Bold Silvano thus far include the talented Boldly Respectable (who holds an entry in the G3 Cape Classic), debut winner Besotted, and recent three and a half length winner Magic Memory.

Former Equus Champion Bold Silvano was an outstanding racehorse who won or placed in eight major feature races.
Not only did the handsome bay land the 2010 G1 Vodacom Durban July (defeating champions Irish Flame and Pocket Power in the process), but Bold Silvano made a winning Dubai debut when defeating a world class field to land the G3 Maktoum Challenge.

One of 17 G1 winners by champion sire Silvano, Bold Silvano stands for a 2016 stud fee of R15 000.

He has two lots on offer at next month’s Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale:

Lot 144 – a half sister to a winner, this filly is out of a four time winning half sister to a stakes performer and this is the same family as multiple G1 winner and potential Summer Cup contender Rabada

Lot 187 – like graded winners Flash Drive and Hot Affair, this filly is inbred to former champion sire and broodmare sire Al Mufti. A half sister to G3 performer Secret Vision, this filly’s dam is a half sister to G2 winning millionaire Thunder Key and second dam is former champion Special Key
