Bred and owned by Sabine Plattner, the Andre Nel trained 3yo made it three wins from just six outings with a just off the pace victory.

Friday’s win in the 2000m contest, also saw Solana make a winning debut over the ten furlong trip and she has now won three of her last four starts.

Solana is from the first crop of G1 winner and Italian champion Querari, a son of red hot sire and sire of sires Oasis Dream -also sire of British sensation Showcasing and the very promising first crop sire Power.

She is one of six stakes horses to have emerged from her sire’s exciting, but small first crop. This crop also produced G2 Debutante winner Cosmic Light and G1 Thekwini Stakes runner up Melliflora.
