Oratorio’s daughter shows her class
Avontuur’s world class young sire Oratorio is enjoying another superb season. Fresh off being named champion sire in Italy for 2012, Oratorio’s son, Military Attack, won the recent Gr1 Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup. He is now likely to line up in Singapore’s top race, the Gr1 Singapore Airlines International Cup at the end of the month.

Oratorio followed that excellent result up with another top-class performer, Viztoria, capturing Monday’s Gp3 Canford Cliffs EBF Athasi Stakes. The 3yo scored a comfortable one length success in the race named for one of the greatest broodmares in Irish history.

Viztoria is now a leading contender to land the Gp1 Irish 1000 Guineas, which will be run at the Curragh on May 26th.

A brilliant 2yo, Viztoria, who was scoring her first group race success, landed the Listed Blenheim Stakes by seven and a half lengths (over Snow Queen – beaten just over two lengths in the 1000 Guineas) at two, before running second, behind colts, in the Gp2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte.

She looks to be yet another G1 prospect for Oratorio!
