Quality yearlings offered by Golden Touch
Golden Touch Thoroughbred Services are delighted to offer three high-quality yearlings at the 2014 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sales.

All three lots sport superb pedigrees to match their impressive conformation.  The first Golden Touch yearling offered at the National Sale is lot 4, a filly by leading sire (and exceptional sire of fillies) Trippi. This bay filly is a full-sister to the promising 2yo Sunset Tripp, and a half-sister to a multiple winner.

Going by the name of Red Heart, the filly on sale is out of a Fort Wood full-sister to a stakes winner. Her dam is out of Champion and J&B Met winner Imperious Sue, and is also a half-sister to former Gr1 Woolavington Stakes winner Imperious Star. Trippi, sire of the filly in question, has enjoyed a tremendous season. His progeny include recent feature race winner Trip Tease, unbeaten Gr3 Godolphin Barb winner Punk Rocker, as well as Not Sulking and Lanner Falcon runner up respectively in the Gr2 Wilgerbosdrift Gauteng Fillies Guineas and Gr1 Avontuur Estate Cape Fillies Guineas.

Second of the Golden Touch draft on offer is Sweetchild O Mine, catalogued as lot 110. The filly is a daughter of Equus Champion and July winner Greys Inn. A proven sire, Greys Inn is the sire of numerous high-class horses including Canterbury Tale, King of Pain and Royal Bencher. He is also the sire of impressive recent debut winner Forries Waltz, and is very much a young sire to watch.

The filly on offer is a full-sister to talented sprinter November Rain, now a seven time winner. Dam, Tinder Box, is a winning daughter of highly successful sire Strike Smartly, and this is the family of one of North America’s greatest ever racemares, the unbeaten Breeders Cup winner Personal Ensign.

The final lot on offer from Golden Touch is lot 127, a really well bred filly who goes by the name of Miss Varlocity. She is by arguably South Africa’s hottest sire Var – whose offspring have won a staggering 10 feature races in 2014 already. Sire of recent Gr2 Godolphin Mile winner Variety Club, Var is an excellent sire of fillies, with his daughters including Val De Ra, Via Africa, Princess of Light and Schiffer, to name but a few.

Miss Varlocity is out of the high-class racemare Velvet’s Image, a stakes placed winner of four. Miss Varlocity is also a half-sister to this season’s Gr2 Sceptre Stakes winner Reflective Image, as well as the talented, and highly rated, Gold Prospector – winner of three of his four outings to date.
