Nadeson Park’s well bred young sire Time Thief had a smart winner in Singapore on Sunday.
His son Solaris Spectrum made it three wins from just five outings in Singapore when he won the Community Stakes over 1200m for trainer Shane Baertschiger.
The Australian bred Solaris Spectrum, now a four-year-old, has now won or finished second in all five outings in Singapore and he looks on track for bigger and better things.
His sire Time Thief was a classy racehorse, who ran second, to Whobegotyou, in the 2008 G1 The Age Caulfield Guineas and 3rd to Apache Cat in the 2009 G1 Pulse Pharmacy Ansett Australia Stakes.
His sire, Redoute’s Choice, is the sire of more than 120 stakes winners and has headed the Australian General Sires Log on three occasions. An emerging sire of sires, Redoute’s Choice’s successful young sire sons include Snitzel, Stratum, Not A Single Doubt and the ill-fated Beneteau.
A three parts brother to South African champion sprinter Laisserfaire, Time Thief is one of six stakes horses produced by G3 Tristarc Stakes winner Procrastinate. This is the same family as leading sire and broodmare sire Centaine.
Time Thief stands for a fee of R25 000 in 2015 and his first South African foals will arrive next year.
