Nadeson Park’s resident sire Time Thief has been enjoying a good spell with his runners of late.
His son E-Super looks an above average sort in Hong Kong, while Time Thief is also responsible for Solaris Spectrum, who won a good race at Kranji on Sunday.
The four-year-old gelding has been ultra consistent in his brief Singapore career thus far, with Solaris Spectrum making it four wins from just seven outings on Sunday.
The gelding, who has finished unplaced just once thus far, ran on strongly to win an Open Benchmark 74 over 1200m by a length and a quarter and Solaris Spectrum looks likely to win again soon.
His G1 sire Time Thief, who was placed in both the G1 Caulfield Guineas and G1 , is a son of legendary stallion Redoute’s Choice (sire of SA champions Majmu and Musir), whose 20 plus G1 winners include the leading sires Snitzel and Stratum. A triple champion sire in Australia, Redoute’s Choice is also the sire of outstanding G1 winners Anamato, Absolutely, God’s Own, Miss Finland, Nadeem, Royal Descent, Wylie Hall, and former Horse Of The Year Lankan Rupee.
Time Thief, who is from the same family as champion sire and broodmare sire Centaine, is also from an outstanding female line.
His dam Procrastinate was a top class racemare, whose six wins included the G3 Tristarc Stakes. She has been an even better producer, however, with her notable progeny Time Thief’s three parts sister and multiple champion Laisserfaire (herself dam of smart recent winner Leisure Trip).
Procrastinate is also responsible for Time Thief’s top class own sister A Time For Julia, winner of the G3 Bellmaine Stakes, while Time Thief’s G1 placed three parts brother Foreplay is the sire, from limited opportunities, of G1 Golden Slipper runner up and Australian millionaire Decision Time.
