One of three winners on the day for trainer Glen Kotzen, the Highlands Farms bred Fellow Traveller (who had been fifth on his only previous outing) broke through for a maiden win, in open company, over 1400m.

Fellow Traveller, who is bred on similar lines to champion I’ll Have Another, was a R700 000 buy from last year’s Cape Premier Yearling Sale.

His sire, former Irish Champion 2YO Colt Pathfork, has made a cracking start to his stud career, with the former G1 National Stakes winner’s previous winners including undefeated G3 Godolphin Barb Stakes winner Red Chesnut Road and Listed Dahlia Plate runner up Turbo.

The latter is one of 13 runners set to take part in Friday’s G3 Champion Juvenile Cup at Fairview.

Pathfork has two lots on offer at next month’s CTS August Two-Year-Old Sale in Cape Town –
