Smart Aussie winner for National Assembly daughter

The Highlands Farm bred mare Trust Antonia was represented by a smart debut winner in Australia this week when her son Trustee scored an effortless victory mid week.
A gelded son of More Than Ready, Trustee made a smart winning debut at Tamworth on Tuesday when scoring first time out for up-and-coming trainer Melanie O’Gorman.

The four-year-old Trustee (a full brother to former G1 Caulfield Guineas third Huegill) is the second winner for his South African bred dam, who was covered by Not A Single Doubt last year. She also has a full sister to Tuesday’s winner at foot.

One of 16 G1 winners for former Highlands sire National Assembly, Trust Antonia was produced by former Equus Broodmare Of The Year Loyal Linda, whose progeny include a pair of other G1 winners in the form of Gold Flier and Succesful Bidder.

Trust Antonia was a top class racemare in her own right, winning her first two of her first three outings including the G1 Allan Robertson Fillies Championship of 2006. Ironically the second filly home that day, subsequent G2 KRA Fillies Guineas winner Sally Bowles, has also gone onto enjoy success as a broodmare with her runners including Consumer Credit, winner of the 2015 G3 Sweetest Chant Stakes in North America.

This is the same family as last season’s Equus Champion Stayer Hot Ticket.
