Stunning first foals for Global View

Ascot Stud’s beautifully bred young Galileo stallion Global View has made a bright start to his stud career if his first foals are anything to go by!
Among the foals born in Global View’s first crop is this colt out of the Kyllachy mare Grand Mary, a half-sister to G1 Falmouth Stakes winner Rajeem –dam of 2017 G3 Sirenia Stakes winner Invincible Army, runner up in the recent G2 Mill Reef Stakes.

Global View -Princess Magdalena

Pennekamp mare Princess Magdalena, dam of dual Merchants Stakes winner and millionaire Search Party-currently one of South Africa’s top sprinters, has a filly foal at foot by Global View.

Princess Magdalena’s sire Pennekamp is also damsire of Galileo’s G1 winners Together and Lily Of The Valley. Global View is also sire of a lovely colt out of the well related mare Wiqaaya, whose sire Red Ransom is broodmare sire of the Galileo sired champion Mahbooba. Wiqaaya’s relatives include popular young shuttle sire and dual G1 winner Shalaa as well as successful sire Wild Rush.

Global View-Wiqaaya

Global View covered an exceptional book of mares in his first season at stud, and is also represented by foals out of such high-class mares as Bella Cantata (dam of German Guineas winner Caspar Netscher and recent G2 Joburg Spring F&M Challenge heroine Bella Sonata), Lauderdale (winner of the G1 Thekwini Stakes), and Circle Of Gold (dam of 4 stakes winners including exported G1 Cape Guineas hero Elusive Gold).

A graded stakes winner at two and three, Global View was one of the top turf performers of his year in North America.

From the family of top-class sires Green Tune and Storm Bird (sire of Global View’s champion broodmare sire Storm Cat), Global View is a son of the world’s premier sire Galileo, who has been represented by a staggering 12 individual G1 winners (at the time of writing) in 2017. Galileo’s other sire sons include well established sire successes Teofilo and New Approach, as well as hot young stallions Frankel and Nathaniel, and the promising Intello.

Bred on the same cross as 2017 G1 winners Churchill, Clemmie, Decorated Knight and Happily, Global View shares his broodmare sire Storm Cat with top class sires Speightstown and Sky Mesa, and the hugely promising young stallions Dialed In and Lord Kanaloa.
