Superb start for Seul
Vanree Stud’s exciting young stallion, Seul Amour, has made a tremendous start to his stud career.
The Zabeel horse has been represented by just five runners – but, to date, four of the five have won, and they include the very exciting Heart of a Lion. The latter has won three in a row, and finished a creditable fifth in the recent Gr1 Premier’s Champion Stakes, beaten just over three lengths by champion Kochka.
Seul Amour, whose first crop have just turned three, had a double at Fairview last Friday, when his daughter Come Play won the first race by 2.25 lengths.
Just two races, another Seul Amour filly, Pure Elegance, broke her maiden in fine style, winning by two lengths over 1600m.
The son of two champions, Seul Amour will stand for a fee of R20 000 this season.
