Three out of four for Trippi son

Drakenstein Stud’s champion sire Trippi has a smart sort on his hands in the form of Tribal Fusion.
The latter made it three wins from his last four outings when scoring for trainer Shane Humby and owners Gavin Almanza and Fito Engelzakis at Kenilworth on Wednesday.

Bred by the Favour Stud, the consistent Tribal Fusion has now won or placed in six of his eight outings and is surely unlikely to stop here!

He is one of a number of smart recent winners for his champion sire lately, with Trippi’s brilliant son Trip To Heaven having downed an outstanding field (including reigning South African Horse Of The Year Legal Eagle) at Turffontein on Sunday.

Trippi also looks to have a number of strong contenders representing him in upcoming feature races. His recent feature race winning son Gold Standard is a runner in Saturday’s G2 Selangor Cup, while Trippi is also well represented at Turffontein next Saturday on Sansui Summer Cup day.

The son of End Sweep’s runners next weekend include a pair of runners in the G3 Daily Sun Magnolia Handicap (Kilauea, Old Em),and another pair (Trip To Heaven, African Ruler) in the G2 The Citizen Merchants,

Trippi also looks to have a big contender for the G1 Sansui Summer Cup with his top class son, and former G2 Victory Moon Stakes winner, Deo Juvente, among the fancied runners.

Sire of more than 60 stakes winners the world over, last season’s Champion Sire has a single lot on offer at next week’s CTS Johannesburg Ready To Run Sale:
