Perfectproportions, a full-sister to Maine Chance Farms’ promising young sire Vercingetorix, got off the mark in eye catching style at Kenilworth on Thursday.
The chestnut 3yo powered home to break her maiden by three parts of a length over 1400m and the Candice Bass-Robinson trained filly should not stop here.
Bred by Klawervlei Stud, Perfectproportions has now won or placed in all four outings.
The filly was a R2 200 000 buy from the 2016 Emperors Palace Select Yearling Sale. Perfectproportions is one of nine winners produced by the National Assembly mare National Vixen –who won five times up to 1400m and who was placed in all of the G2 Sceptre Stakes, G3 Champagne Stakes, Listed Olympic Duel Stakes, and Ladies Mile.
Her G3 winning daughter Trinity House was represented by a winner, when her daughter No Doubt won earlier in the week.
Former Equus Champion, Vercingetorix was never beaten in South Africa, where his wins included both the G1 Daily News 2000 and G2 KZN Guineas (races previously won by the great local sire Dynasty).
Exported to Dubai, Vercingetorix went on to land the G1 Jebel Hatta impressively, before finishing runner up to Just A Way in the 2014 G1 Dubai Duty Free.
The son of multiple champion sire Silvano has nine first crop yearlings on the 2018 Cape Premier Yearling Sale, and another three at next month’s Cape Yearling Sale at the Mistico Equestrian Centre.
