Weekend treble for outstanding Dynasty

Highlands Stud’s leading resident sire Dynasty, who has four Equus Outstanding Stallion titles to his name, enjoyed a notable treble this weekend.

The former Horse Of The Year’s trio of winners kicked off when his son Leadman romped home to break his maiden by three lengths over 1400m at Fairview on Friday.

Bred by the Normandy Stud, Leadman was making just his second outing in the Eastern Cape and he looks sure to build on this maiden win.

Saturday saw two more impressive winners for Dynasty, with his 3yos Big Parade and Flying Fable both scoring eye catching victories at the Vaal.

The regally bred Big Parade, who was bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein, made it third time lucky when running on strongly from off the pace to score a breath taking, off the pace, 1.2 length maiden win –going away.
One of four winners on the day for trainer Mike de Kock, Big Parade was a R800 000 buy from last year’s National Yearling Sale.

The same day saw the Highlands Stud bred Flying Fable stamp herself a filly to follow when she landed a fillies and mares handicap, despite toting 59kgs, over 1600m by 1.6 lengths.
Trained by Michael and Adam Azzie, the 3yo filly has now won two of just four outings and holds an entry in the G3 Fillies Mile, to be run on Summer Cup day on November 25th.

Flying Fable was a R500 000 buy from the 2016 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.

Her sire Dynasty, who was recently represented by his 50th stakes winner when son Let It Rain won the recent Listed Java Handicap, has five lots on Friday’s CTS Ready To Run Sale.
