The Alchemy’s well bred young stallion Where’s That Tiger has certainly made a pleasing start to his new stud career if this foal is anything to go by.
This attractive colt was produced by the Captain Al Figure Eight Knot, and looks a real credit to his sire.
His sire is a superbly bred son of dual US Champion Sire Storm Cat, sire of such top class stallions as Giant’s Causeway, Hennessy, Tale Of The Cat, Harlan, Forest Wildcat (sire of Var) and former leading first crop sire Tiger Ridge.
Where’s That Tiger, a three parts brother to Brave Tin Soldier- sire of unbeaten G1 Premier’s Champion Stakes winner Rabada, is out of a full sister to G1 Kentucky Derby winner and successful sire Fusaichi Pegasus, whose offspring have earned over $77 million in stakes.
He is also bred on the same Storm Cat/Mr Prospector cross as leading sires Tale Of The Cat and Storm Boot.
This is also the family of leading sire Icecapade, legendary racemare Ruffian and Kentucky Derby hero Orb.
A lightly raced sort who was second in both the G3 UAE 2000 Guineas and Al Bastikya, Where’s That Tiger has already made his mark in South Africa from a handful of Australian conceived runners. From just seven runners to date, Where’s That Tiger has been represented by five runners, and six of his starters have won or finished in the money. His top performers include the ill-fated but very talented stakes winner Tiger Quest, winner of the Listed Gardenia Handicap and the earner of more than R500 000 in stakes.
Where’s That Tiger is currently standing in Robertson for a fee of R10 000.
