Winning debut for Trippi filly

Drakenstein Stud’s reigning champion sire Trippi had a smart looking first timer win at the Vaal on Thursday.
The Adriaan and Rika Van Vuuren owned Return To Power impressed with a gritty first out victory for trainer Mike Azzie, and this Hemel ‘n Aarde Stud bred filly looks above average.

An exceptionally well bred filly (her dam is a half sister to the G1 Met winning siblings Pocket Power and River Jetez) Return To Power was a R300 000 buy from last year’s Emperors Palace Select Yearling Sale.

Her champion sire Trippi enjoyed a fantastic season in 2015-2016, when the son of End Sweep was represented by no fewer than 11 stakes winners, including multiple G1 winner Inara. South Africa’s reigning champion has once again made a bright start to the new season and is currently third on the general sires list.

Also an emerging broodmare sire of considerable promise, whose daughters have produced the likes of 2016 G1 Breeders’ Cup hope (and potential Triple Crown contender) Not This Time, Trippi has one superbly bred lot on offer at October’s CTS Ready To Run Sale Presented by Lanzerac Hotel & Spa:
