8 for Rebel King!

8 for Rebel King!
Klawervlei’s locally bred champion, Rebel King, has made a pleasing start to his stud career. One of the country’s leading first crop sires, Rebel King was represented by his eighth individual juvenile winner when the Gary Player Stud Farm bred Milynne made a winning debut at the Vaal on Thursday afternoon.

Owned by Mr and Mrs Nunes, in partnership with her breeders, Milynne is out of the Manshood mare, Muvango.

Rebel King (National Emblem – Cousin Linda) was South Africa’s Equus Champion Sprinter in 2008. The handsome chestnut won eight races and over R2 000 000 in prize money.
Competitive and sound from two to five, Rebel King scored his principal victory in the Gr1 Cape Flying Championship, when he defeated a field which included champion Lady Windermere and the record breaking Hear The Drums.

To date, his eight winners include the stakes filly Letas Bonnet, impressive debut winner Stylish Virginia and the smart Moulin Royale – winner of two of her three starts to date.
