Wilgerbosdrift’s exciting new stallion Flower Alley was responsible for $700 000 lot at Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale on Wednesday.

My Wandy’s Girl, a champion in Puerto Rico and winner of the Gr2 Barbara Fritchie Handicap in North America, was knocked down to Stonestreet for $700 000.

The chestnut mare, who has earned over $630 000 in stakes to date, was sold as a broodmare or racing prospect. Remarkably, My Wandy’s Girl has won or placed in 23 of her 25 outings – a record hard to improve on!

Catalogued as lot 361, My Wandy’s Girl was produced by the Unbridled’s Song mare Unbridled Secret.

Her sire Flower Alley has enjoyed plenty of success on the track in 2014, with his runners this year including 10 black type performers. His top earners this year include the graded stakes winners Karibu Gardens (Gr2 Sky Classic Stakes) and Lukes Alley (Gr3 Durham Cup).

To date, Flower Alley is the sire of 15 stakes winners, and his runners have amassed over $15 million in stakes.

His top performers include Eclipse Champion I’ll Have Another, winner of the 2012 Gr1 Kentucky Derby, and high class filly Lilacs and Lace – winner of the Gr1 Ashland Stakes.
Flower Alley, winner of the Grade 1 Travers Stakes, is a Distorted Humor half brother to the Japanese G1 winners Tosen Ra and Spielberg. The latter won Sunday’s G1 Tenno Sho over champion Gentildonna.
