Aussie debut winner for Klawervlei
The exciting Snitzel colt, Time For War made an eye catching winning debut at Flemington on Saturday for Klawervlei Stud, who bred the horse in partnership with Arrowfield Stud.

The 2yo colt, who was a $56 000 yearling buy, made all the running to win a good race over 1100m.

The colt, who was produced by Zabeel mare Lady Zabelia, is trained by Gerald Ryan. Time For War’s dam, who hails from the family of Australian superstar Might And Power, is now in foal to Kentucky Derby/Dubai World Cup winner, Animal Kingdom.

No doubt, more will be heard of Time For War!

The colt’s sire, Snitzel, is one of champion Aussie stallion Redoute’s Choice’s most successful sons to date.
Snitzel’s progeny also include the 2013 G1 Cox Plate hero Shamus Award, and 16 other black type winners.

The stallion, who currently stands for a fee of AUS$49,500 or over R480 000, is currently Australia’s second leading sire.
